Language is inherently social. It helps us understand each other and brings us closer together — whether you’re meeting people in a new country, broadening your education opportunities, or calling your grandparents.

At Duolingo, we also know how important it is to feel supported while you’re learning: it helps you build good learning habits and stay connected.

That’s why we wanted to make Super Duolingo, our premium subscription, more accessible for you and your loved ones. Super Duolingo fast tracks your language learning — and learning with others is more social and fun!

Introducing Duolingo Family Plan

With Duolingo Family Plan, you get six Super accounts under one easy plan. We wanted to be as inclusive as possible, so there are no restrictions on who can be a part of your family. Invite anyone — whether they’re your family, friends, friendly neighbor, even your neighborhood bear!

Here are a few things you and your group can look forward to:

• Six Super accounts. Each family plan member will get full access to the features of Super Duolingo, all on their own Duolingo accounts.
• Family hub. Add, manage, and follow your family plan members all in one place on your Super dashboard. Payment is simple: the family manager pays one annual fee. (However you split up payment amongst your group is up to you.)

Each member will have full access to Super benefits for a more efficient, personalized, and fun learning experience. Enjoy features like Unlimited Hearts, no ads, dedicated lessons for mistakes practice, and unlimited access to the final Legendary Level! This means that everyone in your family plan can more easily dive into their preferred learning content, at their own pace.

How does Family Plan work?

As with all families, your family plan is all about who’s in it. 😉

You can easily manage your group members through your Super dashboard, which is located under the Super icon on our mobile app or by clicking into your profile on the website.

From the dashboard, you can invite members through text, email, or whatever messaging platform you use. Invited members will receive a family plan link, and will be prompted to join with either an existing or new Duolingo account.

If you’re currently sharing a device to learn on Duolingo, you can also directly add members to your plan and skip the invitation process! This especially comes in handy for kids who don’t have their own phone.
